Membrane Institute, Kuban State University realises intensive course

"Fundamentals of electro-transport processes in membrane systems. Intensive multidisciplinary course: physics, chemistry, programming, simulation"

under the supervision of Prof. Victor V. Nikonenko, Doctor Honoris Causa at University Montpellier 2, France, Associated professor at Laval University, Quebec, Canada.

The course is hold from from 3 to 23 November 2014, the price per participant is 1200 euro.

Kuban State University arranges accommodation of the participants, university dormitory or a rented flat.

  • The programme of the course involves Lectures&Problem solving - 30 hrs.
  • Practicums – 42 hrs.
  • Programming and Simulation of electro-membrane processes: Visual Basic, COMSOL Multiphysics, Lectures&Practicum - 18 hrs.

International Conference-School "Ion transport in organic and inorganic membranes", Tuapse, 2-7 June 2014

At the conference:

Plenary lectures by leading russian and foreign scientists. Lectures cover the whole spectrum of membrane science fields and are intended primarily for young researchers.

Outdoor Russian youth contest of scientific works in the field of membranes and membrane technologies (RYM):

• The contest is open to young (under 35 years), PhD, graduate students 3rd year of study, researchers and technicians.

• The first round of the contest is conducted by the Scientific Committee of the Conference by reviewing abstracts sent. Trained in the second round shall be entitled to make an oral presentation (20 min) at the special session.

• The jury consists of well-known scientists and representatives of innovative companies. The winners will receive diplomas and valuable gifts.

Russian Competition of Young Researchers «Young MemBrain» in the field of the membrane and catalytic systems:

• The competition is open to students, undergraduates, graduate students 1, 2 years of training and just young researchers who have no experience of reports at major scientific forums.

• Participants must prepare a poster. In addition, they have the right to make a brief presentation (5-7 minutes) at a special evening session, and to discuss the results with leading experts in the field of membranes and membrane technologies.

• Winners will receive diplomas and prizes.
